Drawing with the Light of the Rose with Wild Alchemy Lab

The day begins with a ritual honouring of the rose, through sacred tea ceremony, guided elemental meditation, and in the making and offering of sigil sculptures. Together, we will explore the principles of floromancy (divination with flowers) through guided embodied practice, deep listening exercises and sensory attunement.

Through a geomantic practice of using the body as an antenna to commune with the subtle energies of the land, you will attune to a particular rose to collaborate with in developing an artwork that holds the energetic blueprint of the rose.

You will learn the cyanotype technique: a photographic process using sunlight, water and iron salts to produce vivid Prussian-blue botanical prints, that you will take home with you.

No previous experience required. Art materials and teas provided, please bring a blanket and picnic.
