A six-day women’s pilgrimage into the sacred lands of Glastonbury a place long revered as a spiritual heart centre where ancient traditions, myth, and living ritual converge.
Guided by Laura Yates of The Hummingbird Life, this immersive journey is designed as a deeply experiential retreat — blending sacred land connection, ritual, movement, and feminine-centred practices. Rather than a conventional retreat, it is a pilgrimage of remembering, inviting participants to reconnect with their inner wisdom through direct relationship with the land.
The experience begins in Glastonbury, where participants experience ritual at iconic sacred sites including the Tor, Chalice Well, and White Spring — places historically associated with pilgrimage, healing, and spiritual initiation.
A highlight of the Glastonbury stay is a wand crafting and folklore day with local practitioner Kubi May, where participants gather natural materials from Avalon’s orchards, connect with the land through guided ritual, and create their own sacred wand as a personal tool of intention and remembrance.
The journey then deepens at Apothecary Gardens, a secluded and nature-rich sanctuary in Somerset. Surrounded by medicinal plants, orchards, and a private stone circle, the space offers a peaceful and immersive environment for ceremony, rest, and connection with the natural world.
At Apothecary Gardens, the retreat unfolds through curated experiences including ritual gatherings, movement practices, fire ceremonies, and time in nature. Guests are also guided by Charlotte Pulver, a renowned apothecarist, who shares her knowledge of herbal wisdom and the living intelligence of plants through hands-on, sensory-led sessions.
This retreat is designed for women at moments of transition, awakening, or personal growth — offering a supportive and transformative environment to slow down, reconnect, and experience a deep sense of belonging to self, community, and the land.
